Last updated: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information SpaceSmart HQ (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit spacesmarthq.com (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email contact@spacesmarthq.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address, if you choose to subscribe.
- Contact messages: your name, email address, and the contents of your message when you contact us by email or through our contact form.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and approximate location (derived from your IP address). This is collected through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies described below.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and secure the Site.
- To understand which content is useful and improve our guides (analytics).
- To show advertising that helps keep the Site free.
- To send newsletters you've asked for. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
- To reply to your messages and handle privacy requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your email address or contact details.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies and storage needed for the Site to work and to remember your choices (for example, your cookie preferences).
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (see below).
- Advertising cookies set by Google and its partners when ads are shown (see below).
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. See our Cookie Preferences page for more detail.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the Site. GA4 uses cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to collect information such as pages visited, time on page, device and browser type, and approximate location. GA4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We use this information only in aggregate to improve the Site.
Learn how Google uses this data at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We use, or may use, Google AdSense to display ads on the Site. In doing so:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- If you opt out of personalized ads, you may still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
Where the law requires it (for example, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland), we will ask for your consent before using cookies for personalized advertising, through a consent management platform certified by Google.
Affiliate links
Some links on the Site may be affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer may set a cookie to attribute a purchase to us. We don't receive your payment details or personal information from these retailers. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run the Site, such as our hosting and content delivery provider (Cloudflare), analytics (Google), advertising (Google AdSense), and, when enabled, our email newsletter and form-handling providers. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Data retention
We keep newsletter subscriber data until you unsubscribe, and contact messages for as long as needed to respond and keep reasonable records. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings and then deleted automatically.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or state privacy laws in the United States such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, email contact@spacesmarthq.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Where GDPR applies, we rely on your consent (for non-essential cookies and newsletters), our legitimate interests (to run, secure, and improve the Site), and legal obligations as our legal bases for processing.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be noted on the Site.
